Hello!

I am Rachel Raymond. Currently residing in Colorado, teaching children with special needs, and managing a household consisting of myself, my husband and two fur babies.

About 6 years ago I started slowly gaining weight for no apparent reason and then shortly after my wedding I gained about 50 pounds in 3 months.  I knew something was “off” and went to my doctors only to discover I have hypothyroidism.  Since then I have been yo-yo dieting (mainly through Weight Watchers) with little success. My thyroid medication is frequently adjusted.  As a result I find myself still 50 pounds overweight, out of shape, and turning to fast food because I am exhausted when I come home.  I need a change!  I need to find a healthy balance that will allow me to loose weight, gain energy, and find exercise that is fun.  I am hoping that discussing my “research” and love of food here I can find that balance.
Please bear with me as I learn, discover, succeed and stumble.
