I am by no means an expert on sprouting, but my brother is.  He has been sprouting for over 5 years and is enthusiastically spreading the word (and selling sprouts at the Boulder and Longmont Farmers Market) about the AMAZING health benefits of sprouts.  He’s convinced me!

Sprouts are crispy, fresh, and a great addition to any salad or sandwich.  I’m sure you’ve all seen or tried the alfalfa or radish sprouts in the stores…and if you think those are tasty then you’ll LOVE fresh sprouts from home!  Sprouting takes very little effort on your part and you get LOADS of beneficial nutrients in return for your efforts.  I am starting a second batch of sprouts on Sunday and will photo each step…from Day 1 to Feast…and post the directions here.

And speaking of plants…my mother-in-law surprised me yesterday with this tasty Hot and Spicy Oregano plant, it really is peppery!  It will be great in pasta or on top of pizza…and it’s so cute.
